Goals- 2018

Visit 10 New States

0/10

So Far i haven't visited any new states however I did just take a 3 week trip and discovered new areas in a few locations I have only been once or twice like New York City and PHILADELPHIA.

Read 50 Books

3/50

This goal I know I will have no problem completing. Hey, we all need an easy win. I am including both audiobooks and physical books. I am currently working my way through Malcom Gladwell's books, someone I have mad respect for. I am working on The Four: The hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google, by Scott Galloway on audible. I am a big fan of fantasy books. I power read the latest The Way of Kings Novel by Brandon Sanderson when it came out in december. When I get into a book I will not stop before I have absorbed the knowledge or story.

Run 100 miles

2/100

Yes, I know time is ticking and I haven't done much here. This will probably be one of the hardest goals I set this year. I have never been much of a runner.

Gain 15 pounds of muscle mass

0/15

I don't know about muscle yet but I have gained a 5 pounds already since the start of the year. Those of you that know me personally know this is not an effort of vanity but health. For far too long I have lived on the cusp of underweight, not eating my dues during times of high stress and ignoring my bodies cries for help.

Bike 500 miles

0/500

It is rather cold this time of year where I am living however that is no excuse. I could be inside at a gym. I actually set this goal though as a part of my travels, in the new areas I have yet to explore

Write 100 Blog Posts

0/100

So far I have been Focusing on creating and establishing my outlets. So far I am most excited about this goal the most, as being a writer is something I have been practicing and aspiring to be better at for a long time now. I can't wait to share my thoughts in all my areas of questioning.

kickstarter

Crowdfunding

Bringing a product to market can be extremely expensive. Why should anyone even bother then to do so if it isn't going to sell or even help anyone. I am all for developing new products that will grow it's industry or expand the market. Kickstarter allows product makers the opportunity to create and publish a pitch and sell beginning orders. I have been a backer on more then a few items. Below are some of my favorites.

$3,481,200,465

total dollars pledged to Kickstarter projects

138,084

Successfully funded projects

I backed the personal air monitor because I wanted to inform myself of the air quality of my environments. I am curious about the air quality zones that will be recorded with the social and shareable rating in their app. Check back in for updates when I receive my monitor.

I first learned about Rocketbook scrolling through Kickstarter. The presentation immediately caught my eye and the concept captivated me. I backed the project without hesitation becoming an early bird backer and bought 5 of them.
